Here at The Tyre Depot we believe that good service requires honesty. We don’t push products or services that customers don’t need. We promise to only recommend the most appropriate product or service for you and your vehicle. We aim to provide a professional, friendly service to all our private and business customers.

Our History

Grande Tyres Ltd began trading in 1999 as a plant tyre specialist, operating the Northern division of Tyrefix UK. Our customers range from many of the UKs major house builders to independent machine owner operators. Despite specialising in plant tyres all of our fitting staff have backgrounds in all aspects of the tyre industry, having trained with various national tyre companies.
After 12 years of trading from a small corner of a plant hire yard in Scotswood, we felt the time had come to find bigger premises. In the Autumn of 2011 we secured new premises, the former Gateshead Council Swalwell Depot, now renamed The Tyre Depot. The size of our new building allowed us to expand the business to incorporate the Grande Tyres Fastfix Centre, enabling us to utilise our years of experience & training in the car tyre industry. Now as well as continuing to look after our loyal plant customers we can offer our services to the general public too.
We’re a local family firm with a team of fully trained, highly skilled staff, some of whom have been with us from the very beginning. We work hard to constantly train and educate our staff, keeping abreast of current changes in development and technology within the industry so that we can pass our knowledge on to you.
